Ajai Director/Writer/Executive Producer
Born Ajaya Kumar Mathai in Montreal, “Ajai” has a diverse background for a filmmaker. He studied physics and mechanical engineering in college before going on to a successful career as an engineer in the electro-chemical industry. From there he became a serial entrepreneur, co-founding and running a number of small businesses in engineering and software. All the while, he was saving up to follow his real dream of making movies.
Several detours later, Ajai finally followed his bliss, cut his business ties and moved to Hollywood in 2006. After a few years learning the ropes in a wide variety of jobs on no-budget videos and indie features, he decided the time was right to push forward with his first movie.
In 2013 he completed writing, directing and producing (amongst other roles) Stitch, a full-blown supernatural thriller with name actors and over five hundred visual effects shots.
Travis Huff Producer
At the age of twenty-one and still living in Ohio, Travis was the Executive Producer, Screenwriter, and Casting Director of a short film titled The Golden Age in 2005. The short film included many notable crew members and veteran actors such as John Savage, Guillermo Diaz, Brianna Brown and Dwayne Cameron. That film started a Hollywood career as an Assistant Director, Casting Director and Production Manager on dozens and dozens of feature films and TV series, racking up over thirty-two credits as an A.D in just six years.
Travis recently moved into producing, churning out more than nine titles in the last two years alone.
Alessandro Schiassi VFX Supervisor
In 2005, just a year out of high school in his native Italy, Alessandro Schiassi joined a no-budget internet film called Metal Gear Solid: Philanthropy. Over the next three years of working on the project, Alessandro taught himself digital compositing, match-moving, On-set supervision, color grading and motion graphics. The film was lauded by critics and fans for its impressive effects and quickly established Alessandro as one of Italy’s premiere VFX artists while still in his mid-twenties.
With his reputation entrenched, Alessandro was hired by internet superstars Freddie Wong and Brandon Laatsch as VFX Supervisor on Video Game High School. That web series grew to become the most popular ever on the internet, with more than 40 million total views.
In 2011, Schiassi moved to Los Angeles to start his Hollywood career by taking on the challenge of creating all of the visual effects for Stitch.
John-Thomas Graves Sound Designer/Mixer
Graduating at the top of his class from The Recording Institute of Technology in Los Angeles, John Graves entered the film industry via trial by fire. Without any real-world production experience, he was thrown into the trenches, working on several independent features as the “all in one” sound guy. He gained proficiency as a recordist, engineer, sound editor, sound designer, ADR mixer and re-recording mixer.
Over the past few years, John has gone on to work with some of Hollywood’s premiere actors and directors at post facility King Soundworks, contributing to such films and TV series as Battleship, Chasing Mavericks, The Company You Keep, The Babymakers, NCIS, Vegas, Parenthood and many more.
On Stitch, John has one again taken on the extreme challenge of the “all in one” sound guy, helping to create a unique psychedelic soundscape that will be remembered for years to come.
Marcello De Francisci Composer
Marcello recently co-scored the critically lauded non-verbal film Samsara, the sequel to Ron Fricke’s masterpiece Baraka.
Marcello is also a sought-after composer for feature trailers. He has scored the trailers for some of the biggest movies of the past ten years, including: Avatar, Prince of Persia, Monsters vs Aliens, Mission Impossible 3, Hellboy and many others.
Marcello’s album work with Dead Can Dance singer/songwriter/composer and Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner Lisa Gerrard (Gladiator, The Insider, Ali and Whale Rider) has won him high praise from critics and fans of world music, leading to his work on Samsara and over thirty feature film scores for major studios.
Krystyna Loboda Production Designer
After winning a student Emmy for production design in 2002, Kyrstyna has spent the last ten years forging a diverse design portfolio, ranging from theatre to museum exhibits to television and feature films.
Her feature film work has garnered her a Shriekfest award for set design and much praise and constant work from a long list of filmmakers. Capable of working at any budget level, Krystyna’s production design raises the quality of any project she is involved in.
Myke Michaels Make-Up FX Artist
With over two hundred major film credits under his belt, Myke’s amazing creations have been seen by audiences the world over. From Babylon 5 to Star Trek, Master and Commander, Indiana Jones, and lately Taken 2 and Lincoln (amongst many, many others) Myke is one of Hollywood’s most in-demand make-up artists.
If Myke’s make-up resume wasn’t enough for a single lifetime, he also has an extensive career as a stunt coordinator, actor, producer, director and will soon be featured as the star of his own SyFy Channel reality show.
